Shelby Woodard

MPA '25

I am a first year Masters of Public Administration student with a concentration in Policy Research and Analysis. I am also a dual degree student with the school of Social Work pursuing a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Community Organizing and Social Action. I received my BA in Child and Family Studies and Political Science from Albright College in 2022. During the 2023-2024 school year I have been a part of Dr. Kay Shimizu's Food Security working group where we have been looking at graduate student food security on Pitt's Oakland campus. My research interests include education equity and funding policies and its relation to housing and local taxes/funding. After graduation I hope to pursue a career at a land bank or doing education policy research.
