Maria Stella De Carvalho is a senior majoring in Political Science with minors in Economics and French and certificates in African Studies and Transatlantic Studies at the University of Pittsburgh Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. For the past two years, Maria has been an undergraduate student researcher for the Gender Equality in Public Administration working group at the Ford Institute of Human Security. Her academic and career interests focus on gender policy, global economic inequality, and localized international development initiatives. Upon graduating, Maria will pursue a master’s in international Economic Policy at the Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs in the fall of 2024.
