Ariana Scott

Ariana Scott is a dual degree master’s student in GSPIA’s International Development program and the School of Public Health. She is majoring in Human Security and community and Behavioral Health Science. She expects to graduate in Fall 2024. Ariana graduated from Seton Hill University in 2022 with degrees in Political Science and Sociology with a specialization in Human Rights, Peace, and Justice. She is the current student lead of the Closing the Water Gap working group and has a research interest in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) with a particular focus on gender and WASH. Ariana completed her summer internship in Kisumu, Kenya as a research assistant studying community-managed boreholes and water governance. Additionally, she is a Cory L. Richards Memorial Scholarship recipient from the Guttmacher Institute. After graduation, Ariana plans to work for a research group, non-profit, or in academia focused on WASH, gender, and/or environmental justice with a local or global focus.
